This session explores the integrated design and construction process of the University of Iowa Health Care (UIHC) Urbandale Clinic—a 24,500-square-foot off-site healthcare facility housing specialty, IVF, infusion, imaging, lab, and pharmacy services. Attendees will examine how negotiated delivery methods, interdisciplinary collaboration, and virtual visualization tools supported an accelerated project timeline while maintaining health, safety, and welfare standards. Presenters will share design and project management strategies, coordination lessons, and visualization techniques that led to efficient workflows, thoughtful design decisions, and improved stakeholder engagement.
Following the session on-site, there will be a networking social directly afterwards at Blue Shark Ale House, 3701 NW 86th St. Urbandale.
